The Moroccan bath, or hammam, is a cleansing ritual rather than a massage. It uses heat, a rich olive-based black soap and a textured kessa glove to lift away dull, dry skin from head to toe. At New Sun Thai Spa in Liwan (Mazaya) it is the treatment guests most often pair with a massage, and the one they talk about afterwards because of how soft their skin feels.
People book it for many reasons: a deep clean after a dusty week, preparation for a holiday or special occasion, or simply the pleasure of heat and water. If your skin is sensitive, sunburnt, freshly waxed or recently treated, tell us first and we will adjust or suggest another day.
